Mae'r pwynt yr ydych yn ei godi ynglyn a'r tyndra sydd rhwng yr hyn y mae arnom ei angen - datblygiad cynaladwy, lleol, a'r hyn y mae'r llywodraeth yn ei flaenoriaethu yn un dilys ac un sydd yn ocdi sawl gwrychyn gennyf. A fel y nodwch, anodd yw gwybod sut fyddai gorau newid y gyfundrefn sydd ohoni; neu a bod yn gywir, penderfynu a oes diben ceisio newid y drefn (gan fod y drefn yn mynd i newid ta beth), neu anwybyddu'r drefn a bwrw ati i baratoi ar lefel unigol a chymunedol y gorrau a allwn. Dydw i heb gael ateb eto!

A very thought provoking article. I would hope that before we got to multiple infrastructures competing and confusing our democratic system would kick in and help coordinate. Your point about the planning system and attitudes to the countryside is well made - we need to make the debate mainsteam! Considering our viral growth, I think the politicians will be hammering on our doors before long!

I hope to use this article to start a debate in Transition Thame & District, my local T initiative.

[...] Over near London, it is early days for Transition Henley, while on the other side of the world, in the Waterworks Valley in Australia, they are at a similarly early stage of talking Transition. photosphere logo by Edward Hill www.glartists.com You can see the results of Transition Westcombe’s first public event, as well as what happened at the launch of Transition Newcastle (not THAT Newcastle, the one in Australia…), and their latest newsletter. Transition Town Kingston have been keeping busy, Transition Thorncombe are holding a Swap Shop, and Transition Town Lewes organise a 4 day arts festival ‘Art of Change’. Transition Town Glastonbury are taking the first steps towards a community owned wind farm and Transition Town Llandeilo are thinking about economics.
